Perfectly placed, our rural location enables you to choose wether you just want to relax in the countryside or explore further afield. Spring and early Autumn are the perfect times for Bird watching. Hoopoe are a regular spring/early summer visitor along with Kites and Buzzards, and one of our barns is home to an Owl. As Autumn approaches you’ll see the owls fly over to the pool house, a favourite ‘rest stop’,before going hunting!

The Deux-Sevres department is named after 2 rivers, the Sevre Nantaise and the Sevres Niortaise and is famous for it’s many rivers and beautiful villages. This un-discovered part of France can boast 7 villages that are officially recognised as some of the best in France, classified as ‘Les Petite Cites de Charactere’.
With the Loire region being a very close neighbour it’s not surprising that the Deux-Sevres is a great area for food and drink. Apple orchards can be seen all over the area, as well as butter and cheese. The wines of Saumur and Thouars will come as a welcome surprise for anyone not familiar with them.
