We are situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Deux Sevres, formed from a granite mountain range that stretched from Brittany to the Massive Central. Although the mountain range has long gone, eroded over millennia, granite boulders of all sizes remain as a characteristic of this region.
Historically, la Boniniere was part of a large farm, home to cattle and sheep. A few sheep remain but they are to help cut the grass nowadays! The old farm implements you’ll see around the garden were found in the barns and are a charming reminder of the past. The gardens were created in the spring of 2010 and we were delighted to be awarded 1st place 2010 in the local village garden competition. We’re more than delighted to say we came First again in 2013.
La Boniniere’s peaceful rural location is perfectly placed for either lazing by the pool on long hot sunny days, or exploring the stunningly beautiful Poitou Charente, Vendee and Loire regions
